Watertree Health® Announces $1 Million Donation for Make-A-Wish®

“We’re so happy that Watertree Health joined our family,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish America President and CEO. “The generosity shown by Watertree Health means we are able to grant more life-changing wishes for seriously ill children nationwide.  The wish experiences bring pure joy to the lives of wish kids and their families, and they would not be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors.”

A wish-come-true has a positive ripple effect.  According to a Wish Impact Study, children fight harder against their illnesses after being granted their wish.  Health professionals observe their young patients feeling better and complying more readily with treatment protocols after their wish experience – it is an important adjunct to medical treatment.  Parents and volunteers report that wish kids feel stronger and more energetic.  Everyone involved experiences greater happiness.  The children have a renewed sense of confidence, and caregivers are refreshed through the shared experience of the wish process.

Watertree Health President Shane Power said, “We are beyond thrilled that we have helped grant 100 wishes to date.  Every wish granted impacts a wide network of people: wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and local communities.   We are fortunate to be able to influence the lives of so many people through our national alliance.  We know the wishes find a way to make the world better.”
