Watertree Health Launches Partnership with Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida

New York, NY… September 26, 2013 – Watertree Health, a leading provider of free Prescription Discount Cards, has joined with Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida to launch a unique program that helps benefit the organization’s on-going work of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida has been in operation since 1994, and serves 54 counties including the Central, Northern, Space Coast and Suncoast Regions of Florida. It annually grants 285 wishes to children in those areas.

Matt Herfield, founder & CEO of Watertree Health, recognizes the importance of Make-A-Wish CNFL – “We are very pleased to be working with Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida because their work is so vital in helping these children get healthier.  We recognize that it’s not just medicine that gets them stronger—it’s a positive outlook that gives them the courage to get better.”

According to results of the 2011 Wish Impact Study, “a wish come true empowers children,” giving them the mental resilience to fight harder against their health challenges.  Make-A-Wish CNFL sees the impact of a wish daily with its local kids.  One example is 10-year old Joshua who was diagnosed with sickle cell.  All he wanted was to go on a shopping spree and buy not only clothes, but also lots of video games.  His wish came true when a stretch limo arrived at his house to pick him up for a day of shopping with his family.  Watertree Health wants to make sure wishes like these continue to come true for children all across the country.

The way the program works is simple.  From September 26, 2013 to September 25, 2014, $.50 will be donated to Make-A-Wish CNFL for every script discounted using the special program cards.  When an individual goes to fill a prescription, they should ask the pharmacy if they are taking part in this program that benefits Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida.  They can also go to WatertreeHealthCard.com/WishCNFL and download a pre-activated card.  It provides significant discounts on both brand name and generic prescriptions and is accepted at Walmart, Publix, Walgreens, Target plus many additional national, regional and independent pharmacies.
